again a stage winner that no-one expected. this makes the pool of money for the stage winners goes a lot further as it is split according to how many winner in each stage.as for the overall gc race, a disastrous tip by myself and michael meant that we both lost 21 minutes on that stage alone. damn frenchys, can even ride a bike consistently.
more points are beginning to accumulate in the mountains competition, but until we see the high mountain stages, it is still pretty open to anybody.
the active riders list has been updated after a number of withdrawals yesterday. moreau surrendered, backstedt didn't make the time cut and beltran failed a drug test.
